MADDIE KORN
Madeline began training at Dance Magic Performing Arts Center in Indianapolis at
the age of nine. At DMPAC she studied under Dance Kaleidoscope’s Jillian Godwin
and Liberty Harris. In 2007, Maddie was invited to perform in Lincoln Center’s 2 nd
Annual Winter Invitational in NYC at the Julliard School. After her time at DMPAC
she went on to continue training at Expressenz dance center in 2009. She continued
studying and performing with NZ until she graduated from Lawrence Central High
School in 2014. After high school, Madeline continued her dance Education at the
University of Iowa until Spring of 2016. She then began assisting and teaching with
TRIBE Dance based in Chicago until the Summer of 2017. In the Fall of that year
Maddie transferred to Columbia College Chicago where she pursued education in
Dance and Audio Production and graduated in May of 2019 with her BFA in Dance.
While in Chicago Maddie started working as a free-lance performer, choreographer
and audio engineer. Some notable opportunities from her time in Chicago include:
training and performing with Jimmy Payne Jr., performing in Emma Draves work
TransPenine around the city, performing and training under Qudus Onikeku,
premiering audio at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and working as
performer and choreographer for Abrupt Arts Video and Digital Marketing Firm.
Maddie is excited to continue her career teaching and choreographing in
Indianapolis at Expressenz Dance Center!
