Aleksa Lukasiewicz of Novi, Michigan began dancing at the age of four. At the age of eleven she began competing in dance, attending many regional and national competitions all over the country. In the summers she continued her studies dancing at summer workshops and intensives. Aleksa began her serious training in ballet in 2005 at Geiger Classical Ballet Academy and studied under the direction of Mary C. Geiger for two years. In 2007 she was accepted into Butler University’s Dance Department and attended the University on an academic scholarship. During her time at Butler she performed in many ballets as well as various contemporary works. While at Butler, Aleksa refined her technique and grew as an artist. She graduated in 2011 with a BFA in Dance Performance and is currently dancing with Dance Kaleidoscope as an apprentice.
